For some reason I have been fascinated in this case.

Anyway - ran a regular Google News search and came up with the local Athens, GA report of this dude's indictment last week [thumbsup]

that make the beast with two backser is getting what he deserves

OwnyTony

Im glad he has been in jail this whole time.  Snotty little brat daughters and a maniac father.  That is total BS.  Remember reading the initial story on the DML.

Thank you for posting this.

A tragedy all around.

That said, I kind of hope they decide to bring charges on the daughters as well.

And +1 to the spoon.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Just to share some more of my fascination with this case, the local Georgia riders forum - Bloke's Sport Bikes - has an ongoing thread, and one of their newer members is the mother of the rider [thumbsup]

This is the crew that rode to BJ Mough's funeral and held an impromptu memorial service at the crime scene.

I'm linking the 6th page of their thread. The user BJs Mom is his mother [thumbsup]

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

There is a lesson here...get the plate number of the car and let them go...when you chase people down bad things happen, you wreck, get arrested, get shot.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...macho grunt...kill the make the beast with two backsers...  Whatever, I carry a gun everyday and I am very prepared to physically defend myself; but the path of least resistance is always the right path.  If this guy let the cops do their job, he wouldn't have gotten shot.  NOT THAT SHOOTING HIM WAS RIGHT.  But as a motorcyclist I think you have to have the mindset of what is the safest option.  Chasing = not safe.

I know everyone is going to disagree with me here.  Sorry.

Thanks for posting the update.  It's good to see justice being served.  Anyone remember the uber-conservative website that was praising the murderer as a hero?  I'm sure that psycho is not commenting anymore now that the facts are out.  Lots of sickos.

Following a couple girls who did something stupid, provided they're driving fairly normally, doesn't sound unsafe to me.  It's hard to imagine (for most people) getting shot as a possible outcome of that scenario.  I think I would have stopped after the sideswipe and just reported it, but who knows.

On the other hand, in road rage incidents in general it's best just to back off.  The very best outcome of any such situation is just getting a chance to tell the other person they are, in your humble opinion, an idiot.  There are, however, many worse outcomes as this case certainly shows.
