Any machinists in the house???
«
on:
December 14, 2009, 05:45:00 PM »
Hey guys,
I'm onto another project and I need a few simple spacers made. Basically what I need is the spacers that some of you used on your GSXR fork swap. They need to be 5mm thick and fit between the rotors and the wheel on my 996. The rotors are the same 6 bolt pattern as on the Monsters.
Anyone here that can help out?
Thanks,
'Mash

I had them waterjet cut from 5mm plate, IIRC somewhere around 50-60 dollars including material.

Yup! I get bored so I'll keep modding it until ti's sold. I'm not in a big rush to sell it anyway. If it sells, it sells. If not then I'll keep it. It kind of how I felt about the Monster.

so...
You're looking for something in the area of 95mm X 5mm with the appropriate bolt pattern, right?
Any particular material prefference?
Don't say stainless. I don't have any on hand in that diameter.

Yes, that sounds correct. I wouldn't have asked for stainless but I was thinking 6061 billet aluminum.
