Robbie Knievel is set to jump 16 double decker buses in London on a Harley-Davidson XR750, on May 22, 2010.

That's three more than his father Evel Knievel in his failed 1975 Wembley Stadium record attempt when he broke his pelvis in front of 90,000 fans. Evel was 37 at the time - son Robbie is 47.

Robbie Knievel said, “Daredevils are a dying breed. I'm proud to have been raised by one and to be one myself. I'm looking forward to this and although my dad's jump ended with broken bones and a lot of pain, I'm confident he'll be smiling down on this one.”

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

better suspension and he would have made it.

A little more speed would have helped a bunch too.

Is it just me, or do Robbie's tires look a bit flat?

do you think they'll have the sharpshooter on site, in case he continues flying on?

I think he'd be better off with a more modern, lighter, super motocross bike. His bike was not made for doing jumps.

That was one of the things that made/make their feats so popular; using equipment that was not meant to endure the type of punishment they put it through.

Is that how they take care of the pig? I saw Waters on his DSOTM tour a couple years back and it looked to me as though they let that pig fly away..........over Lake Michigan never to be seen again.

I met this girl named Virginia.  She said "nice bike, you can call me Virgin for short, but not for long"

The story goes...

They had one on site for the first day of filming, but the lighting wasn't right.  To save money, he was not brought in the second day.  It was a little windier that day and the pig broke free of it's moorings, actually flying through the flight path to Heathrow, before landing in a farmer's field.
