Come into a corner too fast and too late on the brakes, and you have to suck it up and just shoot straight into the run out. Much better to feel dumb than hit the tarmac. The real problem is when there's no run out

Yes he was on the brakes, yes he was turning in....but honestly there is a much more significant reason for that fall.
There are two or three big BUMPS there! I ride that track a ton (30 min from home). Both on bikes and years back in cars. If he would have ridden his line 3 feet to the right, he'd have been OK I bet. When I have to or end up hitting them, you need to know to get the braking done earlier so that you can let up a lot going over the bumps. Still on the brakes, but you need to let the suspension handle the bumps and it cant under super hard braking.
(edit I just caught monsterlovers post...beware the ripples!
and edit again......didnt realize how old the video is. Bumps werent as bad then)
