Hey all, was in the man cave today putting a gold finish on the exhaust and noticed how hot they get  Shocked

Normal do you think  Huh?

That would make me nervous. Maybe it's supposed to have air running past it to keep it cool. If it's just sitting there on stands it would have to get hotter than normal.

 That dull to glowing red would be about some were between 650c and 725 degrees c. Wink

Put it up on the main forum more tech heads there waytogo

Yep surprisingly normal.   Most bikes left running without airflow will get a good glow happening somewhere in the space of 5 to 15 minutes depending on tube thickness.     Its not a terrible thing to have happen, but something probably best avoided where possible.
