I know it's a different bike, but my 675 would glow the head pipes only when in the garage and I held it at 3-4K for long enough.

I never noticed it after coming in from a ride.

Does the bike run well?  I can't imagine it's cold enough to lean things out that much.

it has a bit of trouble starting when the temp is below 30.
i did notice that it was running a bit warmer than it usually does.
i'll have to keep an eye on the headers to see if they glow the next few times i ride.

Seriously, when i am 800years old i want to rock like Lemmy! it is a religion that requires lots of determination, drugs, and Marshall stacks.

when the ambient air temp is 21 and your headers are still glowing red?

Couldn't be any worse that riding in the snow with your front tire at 50 PSI.  ;D
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Either you are running lean or something weird is going on with with the ignition timing.

mitt

cold temps = dense air = running lean.  maybe the ecu isn't compensating enough?

Bet your bike has an ambient air or some other temperature sensor that went on vacation.  Do you belong to a Triumph board?
