After four years being monster-less, I drove up to Louisville yesterday and put the deposit down on a brand-spanking new 2010 Monster 696 (Dark). Unfortunately, its staying at the dealership until all the parts come in and are put on the bike (CF Termis, 14t front sprocket, frame sliders, tail chop kit).
I would have driven it home yesterday but its damn cold here right now, and I'm still waiting on the delivery of my helmet and leather jacket. Needless to say, once all the parts and gear arrive, I'm going to be riding regardless of the weather.
Having to leave my brand new Monster sitting in the showroom with a sold tag on the handlebars hurt quite a bit. The last time I felt like that was the first time I dropped my son off at daycare and he started crying when I went to leave.

I'm still looking around for insurance for the bike so if anyone has any companies that they've received a good quote from, let me know.
