:o STOP THE INSANITY!!! You do know your motorcycle will cover that distance in a fraction of the time right?

Not mine. I've got the slowest version of the monster ever made. Hasn't moved an inch in 7 months now. :P

Gratz and please tell us more.

Besides the running, did you give up certain foods, or cut back on quantity? Do you plan on these changes being permanent? What about drinking?

I gave up drinking, smoking, soda, back in november.
The diet plan is relatively simple.
No sugars,
starches,
alcohol,
caffiene,
drink at least 96oz of water daily, especially 1 full glass right before each meal,
eat small amounts 5 to 6 times a day instead of 2 or 3 larger meals, and nothing after 6pm.
exercise at least 30 minutes daily. (my workouts are up to 90 minutes+ now).

I also found out that it helps to eat some sort of junk food (honey buns) once in a while.
I'll do that once about every other week. It stops the urge to binge in the middle of the night.

edit: added caffiene to the list of things i gave up/can't have.

Thanks.

Would you tell me more about the not eating after 6pm? I can understanding the reason behind it. After dinner is when I'm most likely to chow down on a lot of crap I don't need and when I'm not even hungry for it. But if I didn't eat after 6pm I wouldn't be eating for 12 or 13 hours. How do you cope with that? Do you go to bed early?

If you consider 10pm early then, yes i do. My day starts a 4am, 5 to 5:30am on the weekends.
So.. I'm up at 4. Surf the web for a few minutes. Get ready and go to work. First break is at 9am, that's when i get my first "meal". Come home at around 3:30pm, help with the house work and dinner, work out, shower, eat last meal of the day.
Generally, the only hours of the day that i have to worry about are between 6 and 10pm. That's where the will power comes into play. I've been "finding" things to do around the house to keep me from just sitting around snacking. I haven't watched a full hour of television in one sitting in almost 3 months now.
You can eat after 6. You just need to control the amount and type of food. Stay away from complex carbohydrates. Your body won't have time to burn them off before you go to bed.
Let's say for instance that i'm dying to tear into a bag of chips. I'll resist as long as i can, then when i do go get them, i'll only eat a handfull at the most. Just enough to get the "taste" craving satisfied. After that it's no big deal to put them away.

  Well, I blew it. :(
The goal was 180 by today.
I'm at 182.  I did have a minor setback though. For some reason i don't know i went about 2 weeks without losing anything at all.

New goal 170 by easter. ;D
