Any safe way to ship and accept $$ from dude in Singapore

I have a set of levers a guy needs. He's willing to cover shipping. What's the safest way to protect myself? It's listed on ebay, I can do Paypal, but worried about it being an overseas shipment. Any ideas?

I wanna help the dude out if he's a fellow Ducati rider, but hate to get left holding the bag.

I'd complete all transaction through paypal/ebay.  As he's agreeing to pay for shipping, figure out shipping first, and then send the guy the bill through paypal.

If you do get screwed, paypal/ebay should take care of it.

That was my original intention, but I thought there's ways to get around paypal, somehow the buyer claims it wasn't signed for. I've just never shipped international, so I wasn't sure.

Ok, I think I miss read your post. 

Tell the guy you are not responsible for damage or loss during shipping (via ebay), and offer insurance through the shipping co. at his expense.

+1.  Give the buyer the option of purchasing insurance and shipping with signature.  If he agrees to it and is the winning bidder, you can send him an invoice thru ebay with all those expenses added to your shipping/handling.

Be careful with that.  I asked a buyer if she wanted insurance and she refused, twice.  The package was damaged in shipping, she told Paypal the item was not as described, and they gave her her money back,  even with documentation that she refused insurance.   Make sure it's insured and signed for on pick-up.

Yup, just read something very similar:

"From a seller viewpoint, paypal has caused some people problems if they happen to sell to dishonest bidders. As I understand it, if a bidder claims they received material substantially different than the auction, paypal refunds $$ to the buyer when they still have the goods...before the goods have been returned to the seller.

That's a rough spot to be in as a seller...you're out the goods and have no $$."

Gut tells me no dice on the deal, he's got zero feedback on ebay.

Ok then,

If the auction is not over yet, you can end the auction, and seal the deal through email.

Then ebay has nothing to do with it, and if something happens...who cares, you have the money already.
