Do you think that tire defect caused the crash? Old rubber is never good on the track, but in my worthless opinion, in this instance, no. I distinctly remember watching the front end push. I could have almost reached out at touched Tommy in that corner -- all three of us were riding wheel-to-wheel -- so I had a good perspective of the crash. I suspect the rear tire was reasonable, and was split in the rear wheel impact. The front was holding air and looked OK as we trailered the bike. |

Yeah, I'm not sure it was a defect. The bike flipped and landed on the rear tire.

 Yeah T, get one of those new Multistrada 1200S with the Black/Grey/Black color schemes so that I can buy it from you at the absurdly low price you always sell your bikes for after owning them for about six weeks after you get the title - maybe after an easy trip to say... I think the worst one was when I bought a brand new 2006 SC 1000 from AMS, dropped $2500 on the 600 mile service and the 2-1 Termi full system and then turned around and sold it Ryan (the guy that looks like Side Show Bob and moved to the NW) for $8000. All because I wanted a 1098s. If I were to quit riding (multiple) bikes, I'd probably have something to show for my income... Now I'm in negotiations on Duc #7.... Wish me luck [moto] |
