Hi all - I've been lurking around without a login and registered when I saw a Hawaii based club; I'm on Oahu, no Ducati yet, but wanted to say Hi and ask for any leads on Duc's for sale?

I've been on Craigslist searching, but I don't know of many other places where people list (recently moved to Oahu)... is my next step to visit a stealership?

Thanks, and hope to start riding with you all soon!

I know an immaculate 999 (not the one on craigslist) that will be up for sale very soon. Smiley

Teddy has also been debating whether or not he is selling his monster.  What sort of bike are you looking for?

Did you find out about us from forums hawaii?

Hi again everyone!

I've been looking for almost any kind of Ducati - forever i've been a fan of the oder 916's and 748's... been debating an 848 now that they are just plain awesome...(single sided swingarms are a weakness for me lol)

I found the forum from google searching for Oahu Ducati riders - i saw a ride posted on CL for this weekend? maybe i'll get lucky and find what i'm looking for by then ...

I saw a cheap 620ie Dark posted in CL, i'm tempted to get it just to have something to hold me over till i find something else... but i want to just go all out and get the right bike the first time i guess...

Re: the dealer
The service guy has a regular thread here (Will's thread), they helped me out when I had a hard starting problem. All my communication was through Ivan, but I later found out that the actual work was probably done by Will. The bike runs most excellently now and has been going strong ever since. Smiley
On lots of forums you often see peeps bashing dealers, but South Seas has treated me well whenever I needed help.

Selling it sometime within the next 2 weeks.
An old friend of mine JUST found out I gonna sell it, so he got dibs on it for now, pending funds. If it's a no-go, I'll start a new thread to update. Here is the unfinished page I was making for it:

Thanks for the info - and the heads up that South Seas is a good dealer to work with; i was planning to go to them for a Hypermotard, but I'm not sure if i want to drop the funds on a new bike or go with a well kept used one; though the technological advancements make a new one worth it imho (but i'm sure i have much more learning to do)...

that 999 sounds real nice - if it were me, i'd shoot to keep it together with all the extra parts; though i know as a seller you can get more for your money by parting out too.

I'll keep my eyes open to see what goes on, maybe i'll see you guys at South Seas on sunday (even if i show up in my car haha)

-Tesh (<--that's actually my name, not just a SN btw) Smiley

Hiya Tesh.  Just a quick interlude:  South Seas has excellent Ducati service, and Will has been great.  They do, however, seem to have "We're the only shop in town" disease when it comes to bike sales.  Not bashing, just recommending caution  Wink
