Where the hell did they get their samples? I've worked in several business' that had a soda fountain and we cleaned the things constantly.

fountain soda tastes sooo much better than canned/plastic bottle soda.

Pfft. I'm sure if you took culture samples from 90% of the stuff in 90% of peoples own homes you'd find the same bacteria or worse.

The dirt and germs makes it taste better. It's kinda like how when you're in LA and they have those health grades posted all the B's taste better than the A's at least for the Chinese ones. Also similar to how you season a wok by not using soap and leaving on the burned, used oil and crap on there.

when i was a kid, we used coca cola to take rust off our bikes. how could anything that powerful have germs/bacteria living in it?

I think because the percentages of whichever acids are present are relatively low

(I really posted the first link as a setup for the picture   I am no germophobe.  I was not all that disturbed to discover that flushing a toilet is a really good way of getting fecal bacteria on to your toothbrush)
