How about a loop out Wisemans Ferry?

I was also thinking that was another option but not brave enough to say it.

Time to reminisce and call for 'Sound Off - Take II'?

Regarding the cold, you just gotta be prepared for it over winter... granted the "snowy" ride was in April, hence being caught by surprised.

Here's my check list:
- winter gloves - something with gortex / thinsulate etc...
- skiers inner gloves
- woolen unders - top and especially the bottoms - I use "icebreakers", and they have thumb holes in these sleeves to stop them riding up
- neck warmer
- silk balaclava
- woolen ski socks
- jacket with a liner

With all that on, I'm cosy but do take on board that I have more inherent insulation than others Wink

Seriously, if you're really adverse to the cold, day long riding in winter may not be for you.

Hey, some of us might like being soft!

Actually, the softness helps with the insulation.
