I probably should just sell it.

It's not right for the project I have in mind anyhow. . .

Last time I followed drag racing was in high school mid 60's.  Ford 427 Hiriser with Hilborn fuel injection in a Willis or Anglia were "A" Gassers and ran about 150 MPH and about 10 flat I think.

Some of the coolest shit I ever saw.

9100 rpm?  Jebus! Yea, that station wagon is doing it.  [thumbsup]

"I'm leaving this one totally stock" - Full Termi kit, Ohlins damper, Pazzo levers, lane splitters, 520 quick change 14/43 gears, DP gold press plate w/open cover, Ductile iron rotors w/cp211 pads.

R90S (hot rod), 80-900SS, Norton 850 MkIII, S4RS

That intake makes my pants feel funny

+1

Trick FE Fords are VERY pricey to build.

429/460s (like this one) are cheaper to build and more powerful, dollar for dollar.

This one (currently prettying up my shop) will make HP at the low-600 level and be silly fun in my brother's Factory Five Cobra.  :)

The Stelling & Hellings air cleaners are a nice touch.

Are the CJ heads out of the box or ported?

Out of the box, but cleaned up as far as casting oddities.

I thought that BAMF-motor was going into a '66 Ford 500 backed to a 4-speed as some tribute to a factory lightweight Galaxie?

Cobra project?  Cool.....   (wipes drool up from keyboard)

I scrolled down just enough to see the 2nd pic and my thought was:

'Oh My Gawd.  That's an old Indy DOHC 289!'

Then I read your last line...   ;D

I like the front end, but the 'fastback' thingy ain't my taste (although I *know* why it's there...)

They're a really nice head for the 385 series engines.

IIRC the port and bowl castings are pretty darn good to start with.

My Edelbrock medium riser FE heads were decent but had some flat spots in the bowls that needed to be taken care of. Valve guide bosses needed some trimming also.
