I suppose this is a relatively silly question, but I did a search of the forum and didn't see anything that was applicable -- Is there anything out there to brace the windscreen on an S4RS?  Or do I need to get someone to fabricate something?  If this discussion has already taken place could someone point me in the right direction?

Nice!  I'll probably be doing the same thing in a couple weeks...

Did you just hack and bend, or did you measure something out?

I spec'ed it out with carboard stripes for lengths and angles.  Cut it with dremel tool and bend it with a vice and a couple 24" clamps for leverage.

In case you need the dimensions.  Here it is.  The end attached to the fairing needs to be bend at a slight angle to accommodate the shape of the fairing.  You might need to play around to get it right.  Also modification/new bolt is needed for fitting.  $3 with of bolts at Home Depot will do.

I polished the finished braces and painted it with aluminum colored paint for some protection.  Not seen in the pic.

Cheers

Was going to make my own, but those Skycustom pieces are trick!!

I bought a ZG touring screen to fit the stock fairing and will definitely need bracing.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get them, but you might be surprised - the ZG Touring is actually a lot more stable than the stock screen. If I knew and hadn't already bought my PoorDucRider stays, I might have chosen not to. (then, I would've bought the Matrix/Skycustom for bling)

Thanks for the links.  I am going to go with the sky customs.  No more wiggles!
