Sato Racing has a picture of the best looking cover I've seen by far tucked in the side of their rearsets photo.  I've emailed them to ask if it is being made but the answer is not *yet*.

I got one. Will be going on the bike soon. It is extremely light and it doesn't have Ducati on it.  Evil

What's wrong with bits saying Ducati? I treasure each and every one of my little elephants that are hidden inside my bike and am saddened when I break a part that had an elephant and the new part doesn't.

Nothing. I just don't like them. I remove them (mfg names) from all my vehicles.

Note the crank shaft cover amongst these parts.  It's a Speedymoto that I had two-tone powder coated.

I wonder how well the rubber mounts in that top triple will hold up after the PC heat......

The crankshaft cover treatment I like  waytogo I may have to steal that idea for the SM crankshaft cover that I have lying around someplace.....

How did the PC do the two tone? Did they razor the black off the raised star, then PC the gold, or tape the star then remove tape and PC the gold?

Do you have a close up of the crankshaft (alternator) cover?

you PC the base color, then after its done, you pc the accent color and wipe off the power with a tack cloth. atleast thats how i do it.

that crank cover is only made for the newer bikes i think they dont have an application list for the odler bikes with that style.

Interesting, I didn't think you could PC over the top of an existing PC coating. I guess you left the back of the piece raw metal to be able to attach electrostatic lead

I was just asking if you had a close up photo, Turns out that even for '07 S4RS Ducati changed the o-ring seal on the back of the alternator cover

did they make matching alt covers? and would you be willing to trade 1 mag cover in exchange for the two?

on your site i only saw the cover for the pre-2001 bikes. did they make em for the newer bikes?

I think they PC'ed the front black and then taped off everything but the star and PC'ed the front gold.  Not 100% sure of that, though.  I will try to post a close up of it.
