Got tired of my all-black lid, and my tempera paint mock-up, so laid something permanent on it.
Fineline masking and blue tape, and a little bit of heavy stock.

We test paint on cars, thousands of paint jobs, this car was 1-1/4" thick of solid paint, so I hacked off a chunk with a sawzall and crafted this as a gift for a client.

This is a favorite thread. 

I started "pour" painting with acrylics recently and love it.  The finished pieces are super lame but there's one out of the bunch of a dozen I kind of like.  Will post that up sometime.
