Here is my most recent attempt at woodworking.... only the table is built out of MDF and I painted it to look like wood  ;D

There hearth in the background is also all faux stone and concrete.

I always choke when I see the prices of media centers like that. We bought one very similar to what's in the link 10 years ago and I think it was $1,400. I still have it and it's held up very well so I feel it was worth it but that's still a lot of money for what amounts to a shelf with some doors.

This summer I got into making mandolins.  Just about to finish my third one (on the left), right in time for the cold weather when my garage shop becomes unusable.

"I doubt I'm her type---I'm sure she's used to the finer things.  I'm usually broke. I'm kinda sloppy…"
