Since my run in with a deer this past May, I have yet to buy new gear.  Looking for a new Jacket and Gloves to wear for the warm weather.  I was looking at the Alpinestars Stella Breeze Air Flo Jacket in red of course.  It's a textile jacket:

and either the SP-X Glove:

or SMX-2 A C Glove:

Anyone have any experience with the jacket or either of these gloves?

I like Alpinestars gear, I have a leather jacket and gauntlet style racing gloves by them...want to get good quality gear.  my technic summer gloves did ok, but ripped up pretty bad on my left thumb, want to have good finger/thumb protection...hopefully will never have to road test my gear again...but want to be prepared if I do  waytogo [moto]

I've had the SMX-2 glove and I have to say, for dirtbiking (the origional intended use) they were/are fantastic...the sueded palm and mesh make me question crash worthyness for the street as they seem to me like they'de shred pretty quickly when meeting with the pavement...otherwise they flow air excellently....just my .02 on thos FWIW

I would try to get something made out of deer skin, if only because it might help scare 'em off  Tongue

i have this Alpinestars' Stella Rebel Air-Flo jacket for summer, i haven't crashed in it, so i'm not sure of it's durability, but it does keep me cool, and comfortable. Mine is 2 years old, the newer one, looks better, i like that they added a little length to it   waytogo

Mr Incredible that was tooo funny  laughingdp if it would work I'd get deer gloves in a heart beat.

Thanks for the.02 zooom.  and will probably go with the spx glove...

DuCaTiNi I think your jacket would hold up ok in a crash.  I was wearing an agv mesh jacket when I had my accident.  It got shredded but protected me...glad to hear you like your jacket  waytogo

Now just have to find a dealer that has this jacket nearby to try on.  that is the bigger problem, my have to head out to PA, that is where I got my alpinestar leather jacket several years ago...
