powerlet sockets, anyone install them?
«

anyone install the powerlet sockets on a monster for either heated gear/battery tender/luggage attachment power, etc?
basically i was looking over their site and they seem to have everything you could possibly want to hook up including things like an easy to access battery jumper cables but that is nt specifically a powerlet thing but i can see how you can use the attachment for making it easily to do both jobs.
anyone have any first hand experience with this stuff? suggestions on how to hook up, i'm considering putting an ipod charger attachemtn in teh saddle bag to make things easier for longer trips and heated gloves, etc.
how many extra watts does that monsters have for this stuff?
thanks.

I had it on another non-Duc but you have to buy an adapter because the standard plug is the same as the BMW plug. In the end I returned it because it became too many wires and such. I've heard nothing but good things on them, sorry I can't help on the charging system for Ducs.

All I know is that the pigtail connector fits the battery tender pigtail.

Thread hijack here, but I've been looking for a battery tender to USB connector forever without any luck. I'd settle for a Gerbing to USB type as well. I don't see anything like that on the Powerlet site, but would love to hear if anyone knows where to buy one. End game is iPhone charger.

I have them on all three of my ducs. Work great for charging phones, running radar, heated clothing, etc. No issues

If you really wanted to, you could do pigtail to cigarette lighter and then use an ipod car charger cable.
