I manage the Engineering Department at a small company in Albuqueruqe, NM......sometimes.

Residential Remodeling Contractor:
-Salesman
-Book keeper (as if)
-Job foreman (hand holder)
-Psychotherapist to both employees and clients. (see above)
-Designer

Owner of a custom cabinet shop
-All of the above except work with more kitchen and interior decorators (Blechh!)
-Anybody want to buy a turn key, well equipped cabinet shop?

Sales for a Residential Solar Thermal Hot Water company
-Walk in
-Explain product and its merits to clients that have already researched the heck out of these systems and are anxious to take advantage of Federal, State and Local incentive programs.
-Walk away with signed contract and deposit check.  Turn over everything to installation department.  They handle the job from that point on, from permitting to scheduling to installation details.
-Receive commision checks.

I need to scale back.  The first two have more details than one person can physically manage.

Solar thermal hot water systems have been around and will be around for a long time with little chance of improved efficiency unlike PV.  No employees, no workmans compensation insurance, no rent.......no brainer!

Oh yea almost forgot:
-Husband
-Father of three awesome kiddos!

Once in a while I do some land surveying but not too often these days.

I'm a land surveyor too. Mostly doing construction work at the moment.

Aspiring Screenplay/song writer and musician. 'Aspiring' is what explains why I have no Duc at the moment, but I guess it is better to learn on something cheap that won't break my heart if it gets dinged.

Finished one screenplay, editing is done, just need to sell it. (several others unfinished)

Several songs written, getting together with a drummer soon to try and make something of ourselves.

You'll know when I sell my script by the "I just got a couple Ducs" post.  ;)

It's (gulp) suprisingly where they sent me fresh out of the academy.  Kinda like going from t-ball to the majors with 10 weeks of training in-between.  Took almost 3 years to get turned loose on my own.  When it's busy busy, it's the best job in the world.  Other wise it's just ok :D.  Can't complain, I don't remember the last time I felt like I've "worked" since I've been cut loose (training sucked).
