Paint looks good (especially for black). I love that classic Ducati font.

Enjoy.

I got em....they are good except some people (more like their bikes) have an interesting thing happen with the throttle control...the back of that cable holding black tab isn't high enough and it kind of slips inside the housing and gets a notch in it....other people and their bikes don't have this problem....what it means is the throttle rolls forward too far and you can feel the notch. You get used to it, but it's not perfect!

Don't think anyone has worked out which bikes have the problem and which ones are fine!

yeah, i've had a bit of a snoop and there seem to be some questions about the throttle cam,  [roll]some say they're not very comfortable as well? are there fitment issues to deal with? some say they're 10mm shorter than std ones and i have to move the controls or chop my bars. Shocked

D) all of the above

We both have them on our bikes - well they look the same but their nomenclature has changed. Jukie has had no problems but we put a new bar on hers at the same time.

With mine I seemed to get a bit of 'slack' in the throttle ... blamed it for a couple of stalls ... Julie couldn't quite get it right for me but was fixed at the last service and has been good since.

Yes I had to move the controls a little and have a few 'gaps'. Comfort is obviously a personal thing ... but they are solid with not much rubber so they don't have much in-built vibration damping.

thanks betty, so the twistgrip side leaves about 10mm of bar exposed? if it does i can mount my crg there, as for the lhs can i move the switchblock out?
sorry for the hijack trinity, don't mean to turn it into a rizoma thread, especially since you removed them for toasty heated ones!
betty,
can you give me some idea where i can buy rizoma here in oz? i'd like a pair of their barends to match.

Loony, if you have done some snooping around here you are probably more familiar with the issues than I am (its been a couple of years now). I think we drilled another whole in the bar and moved things on the right side ... left side we moved things along to get a bit of balance - but it is all a bit gappy on my bike. I have the conical bar ends which have a little 'lip' which covers a tiny bit of the end of the bar too.

The 10mm sounds about right it seems the intention was (with the shorter grips) to make allowance for bar end mirrors which I don't have. Not sure if they would suit the conical bar ends though (there are other types).

We bought our stuff from PJs in the US, couldn't find any local stockists at the time. I know there was somebody who has since started stocking the Rizoma stuff down here but I am not sure who it was ... I am sure one of the true bling junkies can help you out.

I think we need more photos of Trinity's new beau to get things back on track Grin

Hijack away!

I'll put them up in the correct (trading) thread along with the mirror if you don't want them Paul.

I'm not much help but I test rode with them & kinda liked how they felt; smaller (I'm used to fat heated  ones remember  Wink ), very grippy & kinda firm, to use girlie terminology not so squishy! As for the fit my bar is a Rizoma & there was no gap issue. I loved how they looked but I ride all year round & really like the Hot Grips.

P.S. I feel a bit wrong sticking things up for sale when I've been here five minutes but I do plan on hanging around.

i wouldn't worry about that, you're feeding someones bling addiction and it expands on topics someone sooner or later will want to know about so it's all a good thing.
you might want to post them in the for sale section, after pulling my switchblocks apart and seeing how they're located i'd have to drill my bars and move them so i'm going to pass on them, thanks for posting the pics, they do look great.
