Ok, school me: what is the black (w red accents) horizontal bar sticking out from alternate and going to the coolant radiator?

Minor details, but.....

It's an aluminum tube, black, in this case.
Originally they were clear anodized, so were silver.
With a short section of (red) rubber hose on both the radiator and pump ends.

That is why I am waiting for more pics of the Scrambler to be released. From the spy shots it looks similar to this bike.
