Hi All,

I have been riding motocycles for about 35 years now but mostly motocross. I moved from rainy Washington State to where you can't ride road musch becasue of the weather to SoCal (Huntington Beach) in July 2004. I bought a Honda cruzer but after a year I kind of got board with it. I started looking for something else and one day I saw my first Ducati Monster. That was that. I had to get one. After I read up on them I figured a good old M900 would be best for a first used Monster. I looked for a few months and finally I had enough money put away to start getting serious. I found a 96 M900 in excellent shape for $4000. I have been riding it to work most days for about two months now. I friend of mine who has a Yamaha FJ1200 took a ride down to San Diego with me down the Pacific Coast Highway and back. Boy what a great ride. I love the bike and it puts a smile on my face everytime I even look at it. i would post a picture but i haven't figured out how yet. Grin

Thanks to all for the welcome.....As with all Monsters, you can't leave them stock so I bought a matching seat cowl off Ebay and boy does that make the bike look great. I also got some really nice aluminum lowered pegs. I'm 6' 1" and don't have full range of motion in my left leg so it was a bit cramped. These pegs worked out great and I still have enough ground clearance. Hopfully I will be able to add something here and there. I plan on getting some Arrow CF up pipes for it early next year (work bonus applause).
