Tonight at the store my wife get's a text message from someone neither of us know.

"yoyoyo yo wassup?!  They call me Gangsta, you wanna be my gangsta friend?"



I absolutely cannot resist this.


I have her text back "No, but my husband does.  His number is xxx-xxx-xxxx"

By now we're home.

She get's another text, "ok what's his name?"

I take the phone and have at it.

"Sgt Jeb Killington" I text back.

Him "Jw (code for just wondering) are you white or black?"

Me on wife's phone "WTF neither"

I get a text on my phone from this kid (at least I think it's a kid)

"Ur wife said u would like to be my friend  $$Gangsta$$"  <---txt sig omitted from here on

Me - "My wife?  Who the make the beast with two backs is this?"

Him - "Billy.  She said ur name is jeb"

Me- "Who put you up to this?  My wife was killed last nov"

Him- "No one.  I didn't know ur wife died im sorry that she did"

I notice the gangsta speak is fading away now that things have gotten serious.

Me- "How old are you?"

Him- "18.  How bout u"

Me- "Older that that.  I gotta go.  Im late for a Klan meeting."

Him- "oh my b maybe when u get done we can txt if u want"

[laugh]
