My battery spewed all over me frame (see the pic of me pointing at the crap) and I am having the frame powder coated. I begged my wife and she let me bring the bike inside for rebuild (too darn cold in the garage). Here are the day one pictures.

Also, I plan on doing the tank, fenders, belly pan and Buell-style gauge cover in Ducati red. I was thinking of doing the frame in the same silver as the wheels. Input, suggestions on other mods or bling?

Your powdercoater might give you a deal on getting the valve/engine case covers done at the same time, they look like they could use some freshening up.  I'd PC the swingarm hoop to match the frame as well.

Maybe a new clutch slave?

The exhaust pipes could use some polishing or sandblasting or something to get them nice and clean again.

Just some ideas Wink

My tip on the frame getting coated:

Sit down while sober (don't know if you drink or not) with a spring-loaded center punch and re-punch the entire VIN number.  It'll take 1-2 hours depending but after the frame gets blasted and then re-sprayed...it'll actually be read-able!  I've done this 6 times so far and had ZERO issues with VIN readability.

+1 on getting the suspension hoop coated along w/the frame.

Cry Uhg, I am having the worst possible luck with this rebuild. Got the frame back from coat, looks AWESOME! Can't wait. While it was down though, I decided to put a new set of steering head bearings in along with a bunch of other bling. Stopped by Monster Parts, had Jeff order me a set cuz he was out at the time. These are the last part I am waiting on before re-assembly and I finally got them in today after a couple-three weeks and we got the wrong ones  Cry Jeff is calling Speedymoto to find out what happened. Not griping at Jeff, shit happens, but dang, I could sure use a "tear in my beer" smiley right about now. LOL

Still looks pretty much like the last pic. I haven't assembled anything yet.
