Well, I have it all buttoned up in the middle of the bike, but the alternator generator I purchased (Off 2003 620) is slightly larger than my Ducati's alternator.. Anyone have an extra to sell me @ a cheaper than OEM price, I'd appreciate it :)

Part Number: 264.4.014.3B
I guess there are good and bad mods; you'll find the good ones here ;)

The alternator has that same part number for both '03 and '05 M620.

At least, according to Ducati's parts catalogues.

Did you get it from a local dealer? If so, try taking your original and the new one back and talking to them about it.

Alas, it worked Stu thanks much~

Now, there's a new problem (after I buttoned it up ofcourse)  I must've put the shifter assembly back together wrong because all I can get into is 1st and neutral (after changing the fork spring)..

Any ideas?

Make sure the external stuff (shift lever, pushrod, case lever) isn't hitting on something or binding.

If that's all OK, then you'll have to pull the sidecover off....

Yeah I ordered a remover... lol, fun stuff~

But a warning to everyone out there, when you order a new alternator, get the magneto with it as they are paired in size...

When I re-installed the fork spring thingy, I tightened the two bolts that hold the bottom fork leg at a bad point, putting it in a bad position for shifting.  Used the clutch slave engine case removal method to pull the case too :) hahah

Thanks for everyone's help..

There's a small hash mark on the upper leg of the shifter fork.  That mark needs to be aligned with the center of the pin in the shifter drum.

All you have to do to accomplish this is to slightly rotate the shifter fork until it's aligned and then tighten one of the two bolts which hold the fork to the engine case.
