before I put my Monster away for the winter, I replaced the speedo drive on the front wheel and the speedo cable.  Now it reads too slow(about 15-20 mph), did I get the wrong drive unit?  Is there any alternative(like recalibration)?  OK give me an answer before it gets warm again!!

OK, it's 15-20 mph too slow.

At what speed?

Is it less inaccurate at slow speeds?

Or is it just a 15-20 mph 'offset'?

Strange, since most speedometers indicate a speed that is faster than actual speed.

I suspect the OP got a drive unit that's for another bike.

I'm just guessing on the speedo error part, but my 23 mile commute is now about 18 miles.  Is there a different speedo drive for my bike?(1994 900)

A cable is a cable.  Your drive is wrong.
