dOH!  Poor Ernie, he's on the board of my college, shook his hand at my graduation.  His commercials will be stuck in my head for life.  "Route 1 on the Automile, my name is Ernie Boch Jr, come on down!"

My guess is that someone was in it when it "fell" off and hit the wipers either during the fall or getting out...
