The only part on my 848 that I don't love the way it looks is my rear license plate holder and signal lights. I plan on chopping them off and relocating them in a way that I find a bit more appealing.  I was wondering if anyone has done this already and might have tips or pics to help give me an idea of different ways to do it. Currently I was thinking about intergrading the turn signals into the rear break light but am not too sure about how to go about that. The other idea i had was placing the signal lights behind the little screen mesh that is next to the rear seat compartment. As for the license plate... well I still haven't thought of an appropriate place for that ugly piece of aluminum.

curently what it looks like

thinking about making each side blink for signals

or maybe sticking amber lights inside the vent

so any input will be greatly appreciated

thanks

I think amber lights in the vents would be outstanding.  Even shaped like little arrows.

as for the plate:

Two flavors, behind the rear tire and in front of the rear tire.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.  - HST

My 848 had the plate tucked up above the rear tire (cops never hassled me as it had the light, and it was easily visible with me on it), with the turn signals relocated to the vents.

Just buy some LED strips...I forget how long I used. Place them inside the tail with very small zip ties. Looks great, and the signals are still very visible.

I initially had the Clear Alternatives integrated signal. It was a POS and one of the signals went out within a week. Also, you couldn't see the signals hardly at all.

Here's a shot of it with the integrated tail light...looks the same as with the LEDs in the vents.

A guy in my local club did this to his 848 and I was highly impressed with both the look of them being hidden and how visible they still were in daylight.

Been there & done that to an 848. I'm in Honolulu so you can see it in person sometime and I'll post pics soon.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.
