Over the holiday break I installed one of the beautiful taillights from Vizi-Tec. Being an integrated tail light, there is no need for the turn signals or most of that junk out back. I think that the lines of the S2R with stock exhaust is complemented by a slightly longer tail, so I don't want to chop right now. Maybe BoomTubes in the future will change that, but for now, no choppy for me.

So, I am looking for pictures/inspiration for a custom beer tray. I have seen Stopintime's beautiful work on the stocker, and am aware of the various aftermarket options out there in carbon. My problem is most if not all of them have mounting points for the turn signals. I have no need or desire to have those things sticking out so some modification would be needed if I decided to go that route.

I found these images which present an interesting option.

I would want to tuck the taillight in tighter (like stock) but you can get an idea of the idea I am headed towards.

So, if you have any ideas or images of custom beer trays, please post 'em up here.

Thanks!

This is probably not quite what you're after, but I thought it could be of inspiration?

My tray would look too long without turn signals. Without them, the tray would have to be shorter and/or more point'y.

MonsterParts no-chop tail can be reduced maybe? Then partially painted?

I had seen that carbon fiber one with the trick Mad Doctor tail light. I am really trying for a minimalist look on the bike, so something that bling is more of an anti-inspiration.

I am thinking that I don't want it any longer than the very end of the frame. I think I might pick up a couple of STM plugs and it would be nice to show them off. I have a couple of local duc riders who work in carbon fiber that could help me if I figure out what I want it to look like.

And thanks for the inspiring passion you have Stopintime. I have learned a lot about my bike by reading about your experience with yours.

What about this one ? Looks a bit like the original but it's smaller. It is slightly shaped to use with indicators but it's not that obvious and there are no holes drilled already. Maybe you can mod it a bit yourself. It is CF but I've got it painted black (with indicators) on my bike.

Those pics were from a guy who was on TOB named Rosso. I met him a few times. He made that plate to mount onto the existing tail and painted it to match, underneath he  had a piece of polished aluminum. It was really done very nice.

I used the DP CF part and then modified and mounted some micro LED signals.  I also changed out the plate light to match the shape of the tray.

Monsterparts has a similar part without the holes drilled for the signals here: http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/ZU-C010EDM/Bodywork-Carbon/ZU-C010EDM.html

Looks fantastic Mojo!

The more and more I rack my brain, the more I think that I am going to have to lay some CF myself to get what I want. But anyone else with ideas, please keep them coming!
