Anyone on here know their way around a carb (specifically 2001 CR250)? Experiencing some bogging/idle problems, might be as simple as adjusting the idle/air screw. That said, I have no idea what this bike's service history is and it's probably time for a good cleaning/adjustment. I've recently decided to give the bike some TLC.

I've read the blogs and frankly the carb discussion make my head spin. I was thinking I could perhaps observe an expert for this maiden voyage. Beer/lunch on me.

I can bring it to you, or we can work in my garage (lots o tools).

Buler? Buler?

(note: the bike is currently getting suspension reworked and should be back home by next weekend)

I have the service manual if that helps.  I bought the manual with the intention of doing a valve check and carb clean myself and after taking the tank off decided to leave it to the pros.  Had it done for $200 instead of mucking it up myself.
Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Ditto. dirt bike service is super cheap. see if the guys doing the suspension do carbs, my dirt bike suspension guy does full service. It was less then $200 or so for a full rebuild.

I have the service manual, too. Similar experience, especially when it comes to the internal workings of things. Turns out my suspension guy does mechanical, too. Hopefully I'll have a dialed-in bike by next weekend.
