I saw these guys list on CL

Anyone use them?  I might check them out and see what they charge for a header I have.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I have not, sorry.  But I think I will next time I need some P/C.  My guy sucks......
996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

I used him last year to heat-coat the exhaust on my Moto Guzzi 850-T. He's a really nice guy, and also a small businessman which it a plus in my book. It was about $270 if I remember correctly (inside of headers were heat coated and the outside was done in black + mufflers done in black + fasteners, etc).

My pipes we rusted and pitted and the finish was gone so I knew it wouldn't come out perfect, but I wanted to reuse the stock stuff and not shell out $ for aftermarket that probably wouldn't fit quite right anyway. The megas were new (the EMGO stuff you see everywhere).

I thought they turned out really well, and the effect from where the pitting was almost through the pipe gave it a cool patina. Obviously if you started with non-corroded stuff it'd look perfect (although he can fill in the lesser pitting).

Thanks. It's a work in progress (i.e. I keep messing with it, right now I'm gonna put the side covers back on, I want to reduce the instrument cluster to just a speedo and I have to replace the clutch throwout bearing). Runs fine though, last summer I rode it out to Milwaukee, then down to the MotoGP race, then back here. Plods right along at 70mph. Pretty good for 36 years old.

Difference between BWMs and Guzzis? The BMW jugs are saggy...

I don't know the name of the outfit, but I had the headers on my Paul Smart "jet-coated" through Duc Pond while having Donnie do a 6K service.

They look really good.  Since I have not had a chance to ride it since picking it up about a month ago I don't know how well the coating will stand up to the test of operational temps and time.  The cost was a little more than $300 and did not include the megaphones.

The craigslist post is gone... I saw something today, though, for http://figureengineering.com/. Looks like they're in Manassas and do some decent work. Anyone familiar with these guys? I am also looking for local powder coating.

That's the same outfit as in the CL ad, or at least using some of the same photos...

And as an added bonus the manager is easy on the eyes with a great set of long legs. Hmm, must be something I need powdercoated...... - Gene
