Now how would i justify this.........safety factor maybe..???
well due to the reduced rotating mass this would mean you would be using less fuel and therefore reducing your carbon footprint??? ??? ??? ;D

Sounds like a valid reason - carbon wheels=fuel savings!  [thumbsup]

Betty

Hang on reducing your carbon footprint by using more carbon ???

[cheeky] ;D

yes I know bit of an oxymoron huh, but I am just trying to help the guy justify the purchase!  [laugh]  bit like these tree huggers that go and buy a Toyota Hybrid vehicle for the same reason (reducing carbon foot print) - and yet increasing the amount waste that cannot be recycled in years to come - but dont get me started on that!!  [cheeky]

Here's an example of the pricing for 7 & 5 Spoke wheels to suit single sided swingarms:

7 Spoke Black Mamba 3.5"x17.0 front + 6.0"x17.0 Rear                    $4699.00 less 15% = $3994.15

5 Spoke Black Diamond 3.5"x17.0 front + 5.75"x17.0 Rear                $ 4250.00 less 15% = $3612.50

5 Spoke Black Diamond 3.5"x17.0 Front + 6.0"x17.0 Rear                 $ 4299.00 less 15% = 3654.15

Isn't using carbon wheels sequestering carbon?  It's being retained in the wheel instead of being released into the atmosphere.  Bit like turning wood into furniture rather than burning it.  Another tick for the environment.
