Crap! Bent my clutch lever. I was doing maybe 2mph, had both feet out, and some damn mud, laid left. Minimal damage, all I can see is the clutch lever, bent it back into place, thing is flimsy. Goes through the gears. Anyway, question is, I was replacing the rearsets anyway, the LSL set will replace the lever, all I need to connect to is the rod? Gee's this bike has some luck.

Can't tell from the picture, but are you running bar, axle or frame sliders yet?

I normally can't recommend sliders enough, if you are laying it down "again" doubly so.

Bar ends might have saved your clutch lever depending on how the bike went down. The fact that you got it bent back into shape is a bit of a surprise as the stock levers are quite easy to snap. Glad you and the bike are relatively ok.

yeah me too. About to start the restoration, last thing I need is a gimped bike.

First ride last night after the small spill, noticed my bars seem to kick left. I don't see any visible damage. I mean it was in the mud, I held her till she went over, so it's not like a full force fall. What are the chances the forks, triple etc were damaged? Just paranoid as I start this project.

I am hardly an expert and anything is possible. You might have messed something else up, but I doubt it.

Can you define what leads up to and what you mean when you say "bars seem to kick left"?

with the bike in motion, the forks seems kicked to the left, and this is going by the position of the gauges/bar. Like the front end is out of align. Just looks off. Not straight like I think the front end would look in motion. Seems the front end is pointed slightly right to be going straight.

you might have bent your bar a bit or of you have clip-on's moved the left clip-on a bit.

or it might be your imagination,

Maybe so. I'll have it put on a frame machine to verify. That bastard landlord better bring new gravel, this mud is killing me.

It is possible for the forks to twist slightly in the triples and cause the front to out of  line. I just put the wheel against a tree and jerk right gently.

On another note, the bar will touch the tank on the right, but  not the left, that's how the small dent got there from the first mud slide. Doesn't seem even.

sounds like you tweaked your bars man. doubtful you messed up anything to do with the forks/triples. depending on what you have now, it could be a nice excuse to get the bars you want.  [thumbsup]
