Did you donate money to the Olympics, or are you just whining? 

I must be whining.  NBC pays the IOC for rights to broadcast.   Commercials offset NBCs costs.  IOC does what with the money?  I have no idea, and I don't think anyone else does.  Ad revenue is not going directly to the athletes -and the companies that are advertising and sponsoring are paying out twice, but only some of that money is going to the athletes- if that's what you're getting at.  Now that I think of it, what are you getting at?
