I am a NASCAR fan, yes I admit it. However, I do have all my teeth and my family tree has branches, so I'm a bit different than many fans.

What do you think about Danika's chances in the Nationwide 300 Saturday? Personally, believe that if she was a dude, she wouldn't be getting a ride because she has not been all that great at Indy cars. It took Montoya several years to become a top ten driver in NASCAR and he was dominant in the Indy cars.

As for the 500 on Sunday, well it's always crazy because almost anybody can win with all of the drafting and wrecking.

My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon because he always seems to keep his fenders clean and find his way to the finish line in the top ten. In order to finish first, first you must finish.

That being said, Gordon didn't qualify that fast. I'm picking the elder statesman, Mark Martin for the win.

What do you think?

Last weeks race set the tone for me..............boring.

I'm a NASCAR fan too, and I think Danika will have a tough time getting beat around by the other cars.  After she throws a few temper-tantrums, Danika Mania will probably die off.  There have been a lot of "World Class" drivers who make the move to NASCAR and couldn't cut it.

Agreed, but it will probably be whoever has the least damaged car that will win.  With the rule changes on bump drafting and the green/white/checker finish, I think it's gonna be a wreckfest.  I'm predicting three Big Ones.

A lot of the teams use these "exhibition races" more for a free test session than to win the race.

Why would anybody want to turn right?  ???
It's a little known concept to NASCAR drivers.

It's done in most motor sports worth watching.

I agree, most of the early races are for track time. To me, the 500 is a major thrill ride. I do agree, however, that some of the races like Phoenix and Texas can be boring until the last 50 laps.

OK, Watkins Glenn and Sonoma-a few right turns. Let's not overdo it.

I stopped watching NASCAR shortly after they introduced that incredible performance car, the Ford Taurus. Now that I have to constantly hear about one win Danica and how great she if for the sport, I don't think I'm going to start watching unless she starts racing in a nomex bikini.

I'm not just a fan of watching cars drive in circles turning left all day, but I like watching racing in general...except drag racing.  That is about as exciting to me as watching golf.

I like the track in NH for several reasons. ;)

I used to watch every race, now it seems to me they've sanitized the cars. :P

The "racing" has suffered.
