Stopped by a place up in Bethesda to get a few more sticks on my way home from work today.  Grabbed another Brasilia, and decided to try a Padron Anniversary and a La Flor Dominicana.  Looking forward to it cooling off a bit later this evening so I can go enjoy one of them.   [thumbsup]
Ben,  I think you'll find the Padron and the La Flor Dominicana to be very different smokes.

Don't know about the Brasilia.

What do you like about a Cigar ? Full body ? Medium or Mild in it's overall taste ?

Ken?  Who's that?

I just finished the La Flora.  DAMN that thing had some kick.   [thumbsup]

I generally like fairly full bodied smokes, but think I should have had a bit more robust dinner before this one.   8)

Ben,

The Padron should be a full bodied smoke as well.

It's been a while since I smoked any but the Padron 1964 Anniversary was a full bodied smoke.

I never inhale.

If you are inhaling , then all bets are off  !

I swish some Lemon juice around in my mouth , then spit it out, to cleanse my palette before I smoke , that way I get rid of any taste of what I had in my mouth before the Cigar.

The Lemon juice leaves a fresh taste and then you get the true taste of the smoke.

I don't inhale either.  I have a feeling I would  [puke] if I did.  lol

That is the Padron that I bought today.  I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I usually like to pair a smoke with either some bourbon, a single malt or an especially tasty beer.

( BM ) Before Migraines, I drank either Scotch or Beer when I smoked Cigars.

Now it's just a straight smoke.

I like to smoke a Cigar while riding the Tractor mowing the fields too.

Well, I've got a flat on the 4th floor, so I don't see that as an option.  ;)

Can you go for a walk (or is it not the kind of neighborhood for walking ) and have a smoke.

Guess that wouldn't work , carrying a drink too !

Oh well, enjoy where you can Ben.

I could I guess.  It's not a bad neighborhood (other than last night), but it's humid as hell here and I'd rather chill instead.

There's a very noticeable difference in flavor, and this particular cigar I found to be very full bodied.  It was semi-difficult to get through the entire thing, had to pace it.  Overall I'd say the flavor was bolder and had more spice than the Dominican grown leaf.  It was also very well rolled and kept; the last few Dominican Montecristo's I've had were plugged and dry.

May be you got the Dominicans from a shop that didn't keep their Humidor up to the correct Humidity.

Plugged is another story.

Yes, and multiple plugged ones at that.  Multiple shops actually, though my new regular place is very good with their store room.
