Im getting a thruxton fairing and im looking for ideas on paint. my bike is the "dark" pseudo matte black and I have red on my tank.

so im probably going to just do matte black but I was wondering what your opinions were, im rather broke and cant really afford a "proper" paint job.

I guess matching is the only way to go but im also trying to think of something that would compliment the dark without standing out too much.

Duplicolor T090 Truck & SUV Universal Black with a top coat or two of Krylon flat clear is a 95% match to original Dark paint, just a little more sparkly.  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=29.msg398534#msg398534

I painted my SBK front fender with this and it's holding up well after the first season.  I recommend some dark primer to, otherwise you need lots of black to get coverage.
