I had inquired about where to mount a Stebel air horn on my S4RS & never got ant replys, so I dove into it myself today & I feel it came out a pretty clean install.
There are a few tapped holes on the forward cylinder block, just behind the oil cooler. I fabbed a small bracket, 3/4" X 1 & 3/4" and drilled two holes in it. The relay is mounted under the rear fuel tank brace, on the left side.

Nice placement  waytogo
you wont regret having the Stebel. I commute home from work at night
and it has saved me many a time from the drunks stumbling onto the road
in front of the pub on a Saturday night.

Nice work...but...

Can I make a suggestion?

Move the ground to somewhere besides the side cover.

It will look cleaner and be a better ground.

Thanks guys and thank You Painter. I was actually thinking about that, because I didn't like the way it looked. Like a safety wire gone astray, or something.
I've used Stebels before. The stock horn on my Aprilia Factory was so anemic; I couldn’t even get my buddy’s attention when he was right next to me on the highway!

I stuck one on my st4s, and it saved my ass within an hour of riding.  Honda civic does the full 5 lane Mexican Latin American lane change on I75.  (I'm trying to be PC for a week)

Thanks Painter! Yes, "Plug & Play", as long as you use the relay. Those things pull 20 amps!
