UK Royal Marine Sniper on hood of 110

I could almost swear that the guy on the 240 is a friend of mine's brother.  He has been with the Royal Marine Commandos for about four years now...

That UK Marine looks like he's using an Accuracy International rifle. Anyone know for sure? I like the odds using the two machine guns better. [laugh]

That is the standard sniper rifle from the UK Ministry of Defence.

That makes sense that Tac Pro is the biggest US distributor of AI rifles since Bill Davison is ex-Royal Marines and British Special Forces. He's a good guy and runs a kickass academy. He runs great 3-gun and long range rifle competitions. All sh#t I'm no good at but still enjoy. [thumbsup]

God bless everyone in harms way regardless of country and uniform. [clap]

I used a piece of shit Dragunov 7.62 x 54 during the Angolan war, couldn`t hit a dime at 100 yards [thumbsup]

I'll see if the girl can take a pic, because we all know that on the internet pics are currency. It's moon shaped now and the edges have been filed off. I don't know how many shots it took before he got this, but his daughter does wear the "pendant". It's possible that the girl who showed me the item meant 600 ft, but even that would be beyond most of our skill levels. even at 6 feet, a lot of us couldn't do that.

But it is worth considering that this wasn't some guy at a range, but someone highly trained to shoot incredibly accurately at long distances with optimum weaponry.

That was my thought as well -- one shot, one dime, a round that will kill reliably out past 500 yards? Yeah, I'd be way past skeptical, too. But an afternoon at the range, $5 worth of dimes, choice of rounds... and a highly-trained marksman? I've got a 15 year old daughter, and this is starting to sound like a decent investment, even for someone like me who's not a highly-trained marksman.

Ive got a, just about 4 year old daughter and its a worthwhile investment!  Luckily she has an older and same aged brother to keep the suitors in check.

I dread the teens.

Start cleaning all your firearms on the porch so they have to walk by you to pick her up ;D

I know people who can not hit the toilet standing up peeing from two feet.  [laugh]

Sorry.  [cheeky]

Me, I happen to be looking for a .50 sniper rifle to round out the gun cabinet...

it took me a while to realize why i was always better with long barreled guns.  [laugh]

i would actually like to get a rifle for long distance target shooting. do you think it would be odd to carry that on my back as i ride to the range?

You could always use a back pack style sling, like they use in the biathalon.
