Damn, look at that parade of Ducatis after Haslam.  IIRC, PI is one of the tracks at which the Suke does well.

And after Rea's "I don't want to go to GP just b/c I'm British.  I want to go when I get a good ride" comment yesterday, he followed that up with being the 5th of 7th Brits, faster than Sykes on that POS Kawi and rookie Camier (who I don't know has ever seen PI).

I hope RLH isn't an embarassment this year.  His bike sucks and he doesn't know any of the tracks.

I forgot that Pitt was in WSBK on a BMW.

Again, Crutchlow is faster than JT.  Anyone wanna put some $ on how those two finish the year relative to one another?

i know this is a stupid question, but why doesn't Ducati build a competitive bike for supersport?

FIM regs for WSS 2 cylinders = 750cc

i understand that. and when they moved up to the 848 that put them out of the series. but was the 748/749 ever competitive?
i mean they crush in the SBK class but why not fight for the SS class too?

no.  because they can't.  the max displacement for a 2-cylinder bike in WSS is 750cc.

it's a production-based series with homologation rules: ducati doesn't make a bike that they could race in WSS even if they wanted to.

exactly my point though. why did Ducati abandon the series?

could they run a 749 or does it have to be current model production?

funny how DiSalvo and and Davies (RLH's old racing mates in the ole' USofA) are on smaller displacement machines and laying down laps close to what RLH is on the Kawi....wonder if that is peaking to RLH's abilities or to the Kawi's disparities?!?!?!
