And for the record, the place that previously told me I could bring my dog now says otherwise.  F!    >:(

So, out of curiosity, what is the cost of fuel up there?

zooom

depends on what grade and where as it varies from week to week...

87 runs between 2.85 and 3.10 roughly and 93 runs between 3.05  and 3.40  a gallon...

not sure how often it updates- but this tool might help a bit -> http://autos.msn.com/everyday/GasStationsBeta.aspx

Wow, that's surprising.  Costs about the same there as it does down here.  Well, when purchased on base that is.  Thought it would have been a decent bit less.

Ok, got here last night.  Checked into the hotel until either my furniture arrives or I can get some loaner furniture.  Anyone getting together any time soon?

Are you near Old Town?  If so, The Fish Market has a decent raw bar and 22oz schooners of ice cold Strohs.  Tons of bikes line the streets on weekend nights.

I ended up getting a flat close to the 395/King Str junction, so not too far from old town.  I won't actually be living in the new place for a while though, as I am still waiting for my furniture to get here.

So is a weekly DMF meet not going down at all anymore? Ifnot, let's get one started again.  What works best for everyone?

First, welcome to NoVA! And I think there's some desire for an occassional CAM meet... The location/frequency/time are up for debate.

I look forward to riding with ya!

First, welcome to NoVA!

Thanks!  I've been up here several times with work, and some of the CAMers know me.  I would like to try and get some sort of organized thing going on though, whether weekly ride days, evening meet-ups or  what have you.  I'm kind of a biker nut so...  You get the idea.  ;)

And no ZOOOM, you don't have to hide the popcorn.  The tequila on the other hand...   ;D

Count me in for both. I regret not doing the Rhodeside thing but once. I always assumed the Wednesday would be there. But now that it's gone I realize I was part of the problem - not showing up.

I vaguely recall some folks wanting to find a new location. Some place a bit more convenient to the 'burbs. I'm up for that because I live, work, and play in Arlington. I've always wanted to experience some place exotic like Fairfax or Reston.

DRKWNG

I was at Rhodeside twice, and that was while I was still in Hawaii.  ;)

As far as a new thing goes, I just got back into town so my knowledge is a bit limited.  But I will show up and do everything I can to beat the drum of getting people to attend.

As far as nights go, I would prefer either Tuesday or Thursday.

Ya, I don't know of any spots outside of DC and Arlington. I'm hoping others will drop some ideas.

Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for me. Saturday afternoon, or all day Sunday for rides.

Maybe it's time to start a new topic about this?
