696 feels shorter than 1100

i think i may have posted this earlier, but has anyone else notices the 1100 feels taller than your 696? someone mentioned it was the bracket that the 1100 shock attaches to the frame with, it something like 1/2 inch taller.
if anyone has info that would be great. Also if anyone ahs one to sell or trade for my 696 that ould be awesome.
(thread jack: anyone want to trade 1100 black panels for matte black?)

it is indeed the bracket that makes the difference. We have placed a few 1100 brackets on 696 to raise the ride height but mainly used the 696 one to lower the seat height on the 1100. they are an inexpensive piece and we have 2 1100 ones on hand.. $20.00 each. these will raise a 696 up..
the stock pieces from the 696 is also available to order @ $28.

Dave, not sure if you sa, I sent you a PM. Is this something that my shop will not put on for me? they haven't heard of this modification and were wary about the geometry change. Does anything need to be done in the front to even out the bike geometry?

Yes, but I use the rear brake to keep it from going past 12 o'clock

just to keep people up to date on the info.
to keep the stock geometry if you add the new 1100 clevis, you'll need to raise the front a bit.
you can push the forks through a bit, but i haven't done this yet to check how much.
the forks on the 696 are definitely shorter than the 1100 so there is a limit.
i'm replacing my stocks with S4R forks so the length is about the same as the 1100.
i'm definitely not the first to add this part, so if anyone can chime in on the exact changes to their front it would help.
