+1. My gf is interested in riding, but wants a Triumph Bonne, so I'll start looking soon. Good luck with the teaching.

My wife just took the MSF. was interested in the bonneville. I test road an SE. But for the price, its a fine starter bike. Really low seat height. No power. All-in-all, its quite a bore, but a fine first bike. I actually... like the Ninja 250/500 more.

Oh, and congrats to OP on getting the lady on a duc! That's really cool.

That might be the case over here as well. She likes the 696 ergos a whole lot though, which makes me much happier.

indeed no truer words spoken.

by the way, congrats on finding the GF her bike.  I bought my wife a 750 and now she's on my old 800.  get the scala rider com set, really helps and may keep her from learning and repeating bad habits while starting out.  ride on!

If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

Which means she can start riding it without having to wait for a month or two for winter to end [/SoCal winter envy].

Congrats on the bike!

Hey, all jokes aside - CONGRATS! That's awesome! That's a very sweet and fun gift for her. Now you' just have to post up pics of you two with both of your bikes! We love taking ours out on the town. People seem to just love seeing us together riding around.  :)
