I had high hopes that the new Merc would be a helluva lot more sexy.  :-\

From what I've read, however, the performance is phenomenal.

Nothin at all wrong with that Alfa, I like those a lot.  [thumbsup]

Best thing is it doesn't take a briefcase full of cash to buy one.

Yeah.  :P

About 5 years ago, I had serious wood for one of those Alfas.
Trouble was, I was commuting about 150 miles a day, didn't seem a good idea to get a 30 year old italian car and pile the miles on it.

I'd rather have the original.

I've sat in one of the originals.

a guy in town has one. All blacked out... Looks like it was lowered or rims upgraded.  Sounds so mean.  The only thing I don't like about the car is the rearend.  I'd take one though if it plopped in my garage.

It's nice to see (IMO) a newer 'power' car that doesn't look like a door-stop or some other amalgamation of bits from other current 'power' cars.

It's nicely done IMO...

But, if it were a suitcase full of $$$...I'd buy a tropical island and open up a scooter rental.  [cheeky]

I am surprised no-one posted the mini site for the sls:

http://www.sls-amg-special.com/com/en

it is pretty well done, flash heavy, good connection required.

You have to at least watch the intro video  - is it cgi?

I like it too - hard to design something to stand out (well) today, and this does IMO.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

The dealership is about 400 feet from where I live and I am forced to drive by it like 6 times a day. I occasionally stop in on Sunday's when they are closed to check out the 4 or 5 beauties they have on the lot.

I agree on how mean they sound. They are buzzing around here all the time. make the beast with two backsing love it.

And....

I did almost sideswipe one while lane splitting in CA with the the Bay Group Hooligans just before the Golden Gate Bridge. I think I stopped paying attention as I passed by it.
