Just wanted to post up some pics with some mods I've done in the 4 months I've owned her. They're simple, so far, but change the look, IMO, and make it more mine!  Grin

Tail Chop
Mini signals, front and rear
Painted the headlight bucket and ring
Painted the headlight mounting brackets
Painted the belt covers
Painted the sprocket cover
Just picked up the seat cowl yesterday, very happy about that!
Gold STM oil filler cap (not sure I wanna keep it Undecided)
Oury grips, extremely comphy!

Up next, maybe...?
Getting rid of the OEM mirrors, although I want something that looks somewhat OEM but without the cost of the Rizoma's
Wrapping the forks. Or upgrading them to fully adjustable, as I do every night in my dreams!
PC'ing those ugly OEM rearsets and triples

Nice job.  One simple thing you could do is remove the frame stickers and maybe tack em under the seat somewhere.

Yeah. I tried to take 'em off once and they started to tear. Some of the guys here recommended a hair dryer, I'll try that. CA has all kinds of stupid laws so I figure I need to keep them just in case! Thanks for the compliment!

Bike looks nice...I like the tasteful look.  I'll second it on the sticker removal...I've only had my bike for a month or so, and removing the frame stickers was the first thing I did.  The hair dryer worked really well.  I removed all of them, including the seat cowl sticker, in like ten minutes.

I live in CA too, but I figured I'm not likely to have that be a problem.  The bike sure looks clean without them though.

Nice clean mods!

Bike looks good  waytogo  +1 on the frame stickers.  I'm in Cali too and simply moved the frame sticker to under the seat in case I need to keep it.  There's a bunch of other stickers already there.  I think I remember someone saying there's already a similar one there but I've never actually looked.

I would definately change out those mirrors.  There are a lot of options out there that are cheaper than the Rizomas.  I think rerouting the rightside oil cooler line would also be a nice mod to clean up the right side.

I like the sound of that! Any ideas/pics on how to do that?

+1, Hypermotard oil cooler lines are direct hookup replacements.  Now I need to reroute the starter cable and oil sensor wires.

kopfjäger, I don't even see an oil sensor on your bike.  Did you just ditch it?

+1 - I'd like to know the answer to that as well.

The oil pressure sensor was replaced with a Ti grub screw (set screw).  If that light comes on, bad news has already occurred.

Although I want a SSS Monster, real bad, your bike has been a real inspiration to me. It was one of the first bikes I saw on the DMF. I love how clean and simple it looks even with some pretty significant mods!  waytogo
