A new THINK BIKER TV psa coming to air in the UK

THINK BIKER TV commercial

As much as the UK folks get the shaft on some stuff, like the VAT, they at least get some attention to bike awareness.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Yea so they can look out for us in the UK, well too bad i dont live in the UK. In the US they hate motorcycle riders, we are the bad ones.

EvilSteve

There was talk a while ago of actually producing some PSAs regarding motorcyclists, along the lines of the ones in the UK but it never went anywhere. I'm sure that's partly due to the economy and partly due to disinterest.

They should just buy the rights to that one and redub it with an American narrator. There's a few thigns that would need fixing, like the plates and the right hand driver... Though I've got no idea of how much those 'fixes' would really cost... but can't be *that* much.

Speed is always relative.

My First Hawaiian Bank ATMs speak to me with a proper British accent.  Think it's a bit strange, but doesn't bother me.  That commercial would fly in the USA.
Ahh... but the servant waits, while the master baits.

Sometimes Aloha means Goodbye.

Well guy's I'm sorry to burst your bubble buy as a limey motorcyclist for 52years I can assure you that its not like that commercial, infact just like you guy's over in the states we are looked down on as some kind of sub culture but cross the channel into europe and the scene changes dramaticly for the best  [thumbsup]

I hate when people who have never ridden put a stigma on motorcycles.  Until they've experienced it, they have no right to judge.  Great commercial btw... [beer]

i think the guy drafting the screen play was thinking of Vegas..
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Here is the one we get locally, the only problem is they usually air it in the spring and summer.  By the time the off season comes, those us who ride year around are on our own.

Look twice for motorcycles US version

Slide Panda

That one is a remake of a UK PSA. The UK version is a little more with the shock factor - the part where the car has pulled out and your looking over the bikes dash is different. The UK one the camera angle is reversed so you're looking at the rider about to collide with the car and his very paniced expression

VIVA LA EVOLUCION!!!

Yeah here in the UK they bend us bikers over and dont even use any spit.
But the THINK comercials are great.
Wonder how many £60 fines it took to pay for them.

Things you get a £60 fixed penalty notice for, along with 3 points onb your license
Speeding less than 20mph over the limt.
ilegal tyres tread limit is 1.0mm
Dark visors.
Cans with not for road use on them.

I live in Scotland and we have one round of the british superbike championship up here at a track called knockhill.
there are 1000's of bikes at it
Because of the in the arse end of nowhere location of knockhill it makes utreall easy for the police to stop and check every motorcycle  leaving the track after the race.
and they do. and hand out fines like they are on a peformance related bonus scheme.

grrr
