Sorry can't help Nic.  Maybe all that gravel riding is shaking it loose.  Grin  Have you posed the question on the main forum too? It's not something really basic like using spring washers and/or locktite is it?  (my two favourite quick fixes)

That's wierd. There is a 696 with ~9000Kms on it in my garage that has never had a problem with the kickstand. Havent heard about this being a common problem on anywhere else either.

+1 on the Loctite. If that fails, however, my mechanical husband has a few other ideas for you. Just PM me.
Cheers and good luck,
Kaz.

Thanks all, we already had used loctite and yep heather i do not think that the dirt road  helps  bang head.  Had been checking the stand up until the last couple of rides Angry, the shop is sending me a new sensor and I will get the bike up there sometime soon for them to check it over, so this time we are using loctite again and have a nut to put on the back as well so fingers crossed this is that last time i have any problems, the poor girl she has only done 20 000ks and i plan on getting a LOT more out of her Smiley

Happy Rides
