Angeles Crest Highway status?

The stars are aligned, and I have some free time to hit Angeles Crest Highway this afternoon.

But I have received conflicting info on whether it it open or not.

Anyone know?

Speaking of the crest here's Saturdays motley crew at Newcombs ranch. being an out of towner I was amazed at the devastation of the forest

My parents are flying in from New York Saturday, so no Crest this weekend for me...
